Stephanie brings that same artistic spirit to the Lakeshore Conservatory of Music, which she founded to offer something different from a traditional lesson studio. Students here are welcomed into a true musical community. Regular concerts, themed events, and studio “salons” give every student the chance to share their progress and discover the joy of performing in a supportive environment. Many of her students go on to compete, pursue advanced study, or find lifelong fulfillment in music-making.
At the heart of her teaching is a commitment to building strong, independent musicians. Stephanie is the author of an original series of theory books for both children and adults - different editions, same philosophy. These books are designed to create confident music readers from the very beginning, ensuring that students are always in charge of their own artistry rather than dependent on others. For younger learners, she pairs this with structured, psychology-based practice sheets that foster consistency, focus, and mindful habits that carry well beyond music.
Her lessons balance the rigour of classical technique with curiosity for modern repertoire, always enriched by the stories and history behind the music. Voice students focus on resonance, breath, diction, dramatic interpretation, and stage presence, while pianists gain not only technical training but also an appreciation for context and style. From this thoughtful mix, students learn to explore the art of music with joy—and from joy comes the tenacity and enthusiasm that allow them to thrive.
Stephanie’s approach is tailored to each student’s goals, whether that means preparing for a university audition, performing in competitions, completing Royal Conservatory exams, or simply singing and playing for the love of it. What unites all her students is the experience of becoming part of a community where music is not only studied, but lived.
